Glass desiccator as its name meaning the apparatus is made of glass and air tight.Used specially for vacuum storage which its ground surfaces must be cleaned up thoroughly and applied with a silicon based vacuum grease. Although it is tough but it is not suppose to be heated.

The glass desiccator has a greater drying abilities than a plastic desiccator. easy to store any equipment or sampling under a low humidity atmosphere. Normally the glass desiccator is heavier than any other material desiccators due to it is made of high quality and durable annealed glass.

Each desiccator includes a plate with diameter of 200 or 250mm. To seal up the desiccator with airlight condition, apply grease to the flange’s edges equally, pressing the lid onto the desiccator with slight pressure and rotate the lid for at least 360 degrees from the starting point. Do remember when removing the lid from the desiccator not by lifting the lid but to slide the lid for safety purpose.
